TODAY WAS NICE ENOUGH TO GO OUTSIDE FOR ONE LAST HURRAH. I CLEANED MY STUDIO & THOUGHT I'D SHARE :) I TOOK AN OLD BEADBOARD DOOR FROM A BARN & DECIDED TO TURN IT INTO A DUTCH DOOR. MY HUSBAND HAD A FIT WHEN HE CAME HOME FROM WORK & SAW THAT I HAD CUT IT IN HALF.HE SAID I RUINED IT, BUT I TOLD HIM I "GIONIIZED" IT!! ON ONE SIDE, WHICH IS UP AGAINST ANOTHER BUILDING,I PUT IN A LITTLE SLIDE UP WINDOW THAT I GOT FROM THE RESTORE & PUT AN OUTSIDE SHELF MADE FROM BARNSIDING & PUT A LITTLE FENCE AROUND IT.

SINCE I LEFT THE FRAMING SHOWING, I BUILT A CLOSET ON ONE SIDE & USED OLD SHUTTERS FOR THE DOORS. I PUT MANY OF MY FIREPLACES THAT I MAKE IN HERE FOR ATMOSPHERE; I ADDED SOME BOOKS,A PANTRY CUPBOARD & CHILDS DRESSER FOR STORAGE.

shabbychick writes: OK - Miss Gioni!! That's way too cool! You'll have to give us the full tour next time we visit!! :)

I've been trying to get my basement "workshop" area in order (and decorated) - so, you're helping to inspire me! I also have been looking at a book called "Where Women Create" - it has awesome studios, workshops, etc. of scrapbookers, quilters, artists, etc. - it's over the top inspiring!! (and provides lots of ideas...the more, the merrier, right??) LOL

you spend just as much time gardening as you do painting things white. Posted: 3:46 pm on November 14th
