Isnt she lovely?
Shes a cabinet from 1901 used for storing lace.
The drawer markers show the lace patterns that were stored inside...have I said how lovely the old cabinet is to me?
A close up...she needs lots of TLC. After all the dirt dauber condos and cobwebs are cleaned out, Im thinking of glazing and sealing her...just leaving her as is, but better.
Im thinking the lace was wrapped around the metal clamps in order to keep it from tangling. Not sure since I wasnt there in 1901.
This label is on the top of the cabinet...she made it from North Georgia to South Georgia years ago.

Isn't she lovely?

She's a cabinet from 1901 used for storing lace.

I want to close in an RV shed in my back yard with old doors. After finding a fellow on craigslist giving away old doors, windows and shutters I headed his way and came home with more than I ever dreamed I would. These were very generous people and they are giving parts of an old family homestead away to save things from being burned when they eventually get most of the parts of the house salvaged. They want others to get good use from anything they do not want themselves.  I came home very blessed! The cabinet was an extra bonus...he gave me a good price along with the free stuff I also got from them.

I really can't wait to see the final product after you've had a bit of time to work on it!
