Well, this is not really junkmarket style display but I still wanted to share with you this jar and very old book from 1787 that I love to use as a pedestal for my jars and other goodies. I always love the color and smell of old books and was wondering if anybody else like to use their books in a decorative way.

As for the jar, I could not help it, just had to ger ready for holidays and it started with my box full of jewels, ribbons, glitter and some mini ornaments.

ultrajunk writes: Hello Eva..great name by the way..very 40's. yea that was quite something to find all those clock gears and parts in one haul..and i only paid $4 for the whole box. I have been collecting old clocks to take the gears out..but i don't have to worry about that now. i will be using some for my metal sculpture and selling off the rest..as you can see i have plenty to go around. The steampunk people love the victorian style art and gears..so off to ebay i will go. Wonderfull website by the way. Glad to have you aboard the junkmarket. Take care.

You create such great whimsical displays Vecernice. I always love looking at your posts.

junkinhart writes: Very good use for the old cookie jar!! I use books all over for giving height, color, and definition. I collect all colors and thicknesses at GS, most of the time they give them away! I have a library of books to choose from -- looks nice as a library and they're all right there when I need a certain color or thichness!

Love your ideas,
