Another Door Project
November 10th, 2008 in member junkI wanted to share one of my favorite projects. It's been hanging in my house for 5 years already, but I still love it! My partner/mom built it. It's an old wood screen door with a wonderful faux finish on it and she put on a cute shelf. I added the old letter bag for the holidays. The metal cup is embellished with a piece of a sweater cuff, yarn and a button. I also wanted to share an easy way to make "fancy" pinecones. My 3 year old daughter Vallie said they looked "fancy". I sprayed some glue on the jumbo pinecones and sprinkled Diamond Dust all over them. They sure glimmer in the light! Easy and Elegant for the entire winter season. Thanks- Krista

And thank you for the mini-craft lesson on the pinecone "tree". I actually have a couple large cones sitting in white pottery just like you do however I've always left them plain. They need to sparkle, don't they!
Very nice.

I also love how you put the sweater cuff around the cup....sooo cute, as are the fancy pine cones. I had some white pine cones I glittered, then tied pink ribbon around and attached to my tree last Christmas.
You have three great projects in one post. Great job!!
