This was supposed to be an easy project...not so much. My carpenter style is more theoretical and visual—as opposed to mathematical and precise. Turns out, precise and planned out (measure twice cut once) makes for happier helping husbands. Who knew? The goal was to consolidate the two pieces of furniture we had into one that would hold all the components, including a record player, and hide cds in a drawer. Inspired by a workbench style drink bar I saw at Pottery Barn. I used mostly reclaimed wood including two tall columns I cut in half to make the four legs, and the base of our old mailbox. The shelf is adjustable, and due to human error, the drawer does NOT come out! Oh well, enjoy!!
