Monarch stove arriving at the farm this morning.  Will be "pumpkined" up for our sale!

It happened this morning -- at 7:26 a.m. to be exact.  We are readying for our October 9 & 10 Barn Sale -- and I must say, cleaning out a 100 year old hayloft in this summer's heat & humidity -- well, not on a top ten list.  Anyway -- I was in need of inspiration -- and there it was.  I opened the back issue of Country Home -- September, 2008 -- and there it was - my theme, my mojo, my muse.  "Heartland Style" is what will be found in the haymow at Meadowview Farm.  It is what we live every day.

"Fields and pastures of green and gold, weathered red barns, tilled brown soil, and clear blue skies make their way inside....here is artistry inherent in the everyday."

Although I grew up on a farm in the midwest, I did not know what a haymow was; this is the second time I've seen that word this week, so had to look it up. (I think we just called it a loft.) LOVE your stove. Posted: 2:38 pm on August 15th
