Old door knobs used for curtain tie-backs

Everything in this window treatment is from trash or a yard sale. The glass doorknobs (not matching) were screwed into the wood shutters and made to tie the shears back. The shutters on the outside of window were found in the trash and featured this distressed look so I did absolutely nothing to them but hang them up. The shutter inside the window is another trash find that is tied to the window latch with fishing line unseen. But my favotire idea was the door knob tie-backs. Easy and functional - these old knobs wouldn't work in my doors and were too pretty to leave sitting so I thought this was a nice solution.
