Driving back from Galena, IllinoisAugust 4th, 2010 in member junk
My wonderful hubby had a sales meeting in Galena, Illinois (A very historical and haunted town) a couple weeks back and took me with him because he knew that I would enjoy the shopping. On the way there driving on Route 20, I remembered seeing a bunch of rusty things so of course on the way home we had to stop. These pictures are the result of our stop. There are 4 buildings of antiques and primitives and lots of rusty farm things, wood and windows. I met the owners Dave & Virginia who were very nice. I did buy an old piece of wood that was once the side of a old food wagon,(it will become a sign later) and I bought a square cieling tin that was framed in old wood for our Old World Pub family room. If you would like to stop there here is the address: American Barn Antiques, 5424 Rt 20W, Freeport, IL 61032.
