Yesterday morning I decided to drive 150 miles away to my favorite junk store called the "Rust Brothers" It is in the mountains up by Yosimite. A very fun ride and beautiful too. When I finally got there I found out that they were closing the store! I got there just in time and spent several hours going through everything, under counters, in boxes, behind every nook and cranny and came away with a truckload of great stuff. My husband saw it when I finally dragged myself home and said that if he didn't know any better he would think it was a load of Hillbilly...stuff. Very funny but I take that as a compliment! I think I have enough windows for my conservatory (Luann and Kathy) so keep an eye out for that. Most of the small stuff I got free and they were glad to get rid of it...me too. and the bigger stuff was at least half off. So I did a lot of digging and heavy lifting but it was worth it. Stay tuned for projects galore....at least I hope they will be galore I just have to get out there and DO IT! wish me luck. XOXO Geo

He then mada greenhouse out of all of it. He had a green body not just a green thumb. He keep all kinds of plants in there and even did hydroponics. He gave away many, many clippings of his plants until finall y opened a nursey business. Your windows bring back many lovely memories of him. Please post pictures when you get the conservatory done. You really made a haul. Love some of the boxes full of metal and will patiently await your creations. I'm sure with your talent the junk will be turned into profitable/useful/awesome projects for your shop. You go girl! I bet you were smiling that whole 150 miles home.

I do see some "conservatorial" possibilities in your stash... :) Can't wait to see it, and the other great things you'll come up with. I love the little chippy pink high chair!

My girlfriend and I have loaded up like that before, and have been known to look a little like "Sanford and Son" or the "Beverly Hillbillies" (minus Granny in her rocking chair!)!! (Just a faint sound of banjo music in the background...)
