junk Angel

I had a single bed post that I've had for a while and decided to make an angel. The wings were bought new from Hobby Lobby (80% off of course) so I had to match the post to that color. The wings are creamy tan with dark stain in the creases and then some paint rubbed off to make it look chippy. So I did the same thing with the bed post. The little squares on the front of the post are tile pieces glued on. The halo is an old lamp piece. I had it hanging in a tree for a while to rust it up so I forgot what part of the lamp it originally was. The base is 2 pieces of scrap wood that I didn't even have to cut to get the right size. It is painted with exterior paint so can go inside or outside. It is about 4 feet tall.

Clickart writes: Love your stuff! THANKS for your nice comments about our flood damage (funny how the wedding made everything OK...for better or worse, right?). No matter where or what you have that is destroyed in some way, it is hard to handle, so I understand how you must have felt about the loss. However, I look forward to keeping everyone posted on what we make of our little setback and we've already made some progress. I also look forward to seeing what you have in store for us, too!
