We went to Nebraska to I picked up a  my wifes neice and family.  On the way to golf her hubby and 3 boys we couldnt resist a church rummage sale.  I saw a vintage panel door and was offered it for $3.00.  With no way to take it home in SD.  Her hubby would drive it up as they passed through SD to MN.  The niece said in passing that she always wanted a coat rack made with porcelin knobs.  Well it took me 6 months but you see the rest of the story.

The top was our kitchen valance from the mid 70s.  The other boards were reclaimed oak from the neigborhood rubbage pickup as well as a pile of shutters.  The knobs from flea markets and garage sales. Wow What fun. I may make one for bath towels too.  Thanks for the helpful ideas.
