A cute candlestick stand...and maybe some other possibilities...
Just a piece of old china and a lamp base.

A cute candlestick stand...and maybe some other possibilities...

This is a simple creation - a piece of old china attached (glued) to a vintage crystal lamp (that had bad wiring).  It was waiting for it's second life - and I think this is perfect!

It can obviously be used as a candleholder, but could have other uses as well.  I can picture a collection of them (different heights, etc.) as a centerpiece and piled with cookies/candies for the holidays.  Or, holding pretty soaps in a powder room.  Maybe even holding a bit of jewelry on a vanity...or keys in an entry...  Ok, I'll stop - but you get the idea.

CottageElements writes: Another wonderful project! I'd love to try it with maybe a clear plate on top. Very elegant! I sometimes pass up lamps because they need to be rewired. I'll have to look twice next time. Thanks!

Joan - I know what you mean - I visit alot checking out the new stuff - everyone is so generous in sharing ideas, their great finds, etc.! Too much fun!

There are just so many ideas - it's mind boggling - I need an extra couple days in the week so I can try some of them! (haha - wouldn't that be great?)

junkinhart writes: Great idea to give height......I've used candlesticks, cups, bowls, etc....but the lampbase gives great signifigance! A grouping of different heights and different bases would be fabulous! Posted: 7:08 pm on October 9th
