Shuttered shelf
October 9th, 2008 in member junkDesigned by my friend, Terri and I, it's made of small louvered shutters and a couple picture frames for a roof. Fabric, jewelry, buttons, etc. were used to embellish the roof. Glass was cut to use as shelves. This is another fun piece to decorate - and can be easily changed seasonally. It's nice because it's small and could fit almost anywhere.
This one sold over the summer - so, now I need to build one for myself!

Nice job. Sue Posted: 7:48 pm on October 9th
This is too cool. Been wondering what to do with the shutters I have--now I know. Great job. Love the use of picture frames as the top along with the embelishments.

The back is open so it can be viewed from either side, and to keep it from being too dark - the shutters could even be opened up a bit to let more light in.
It might be kind of cool to back it with a mirror too...
