Vintage Look Candle Hurricane Shades

Heres a photo of some candle hurricane shades I recently made for my booth at an art show exhibit.  These have a music theme - made with vintage sheet music from flea markets-
Heres a shot of some others with a  travel theme - made with vintage maps (I got them on ebay!)
I started with 8.5 x 11 translucent white vellum paper.  I loaded this into my inkjet color printer.  You could also use tracing paper, but its not quite as sturdy.
Heres some of the maps I used... these were from 1890s atlases. (note - I only use things not under copyright... these maps are so old, they are eminent domain; same thing with the sheet music I used).  Just color copy these onto the vellum.
Take your resulting copies, and cut them into varying widths, wrap into a cylinder, and use clear tape to secure.  Drop this around a small juice glass or votive holder with a tealight. I used LED battery tealights for mine - no worries!  The best part of this project is that I can use my maps & music now for something else!
