The hutch dressed for Christmas...time for change!
A warm paint color to freshen the inside, and some burlap added too!!
Looking divine in my kitchen!
Two separate pieces from two separate locations.  Whod a thunk it!!?
Chippy perfection!

Sometimes a junk jaunt will throw a surprise at you!  When placed side by side this dresser and hutch top brought on a lightbulb moment, revealing what only a "junker's eye" can see.  Lots of elbow grease and TaDaa!  Chippy white elegance in my kitchen!  Read more of the story at Junk-Fest.blogspot.

snowyowl writes: I love this. I conducted a funeral for a man's wife several yrs ago and he showed up at my door with one exactly like this. It was his wife's aunt's. It is a mustard type paint though - not bright mustard but like dijon I guess. I love it. the top is all enclosed with 2 doors and glass and 3 shelves. the bottom has one long drawer and doors that open at the bottom with 2 shelves. I have my 1900 Blue Willow in it and some odds and ends of other things on top, silver and glass, old Christmas. Posted: 10:41 am on January 18th

SweetMelissa writes: Judi, the burlap is in the back behind the dishes. Sorry the pic doesn't show it well. I just tacked it in with upholstery tacks. It should stand out more soon because just to the left of the hutch an old screen door with a burlap panel will go on the pantry. Needs a coat of poly yet...so will post soon!!

Thanks all for you nice comments! Posted: 11:57 pm on January 17th
