This clock hangs in my kitchen.  These clocks were made from the top of a pressboard 3-legged table.  The paint is cream underneath, crackle medium, black paint, and then the numbers were all painted in gold with either stencil paint or a paint marker.  I cut the stencils for the Roman numerals myself.  You only need I, X, and V.
Same type pressboard 3-legged table top now as a clock.
Its been a while since I made this, but I think it was cream paint, followed by crackle medium, red paint, and then I dry-brushed black over that and then several coats of poly.  The numbers were stencils that I did in gold and then did again in black slightly over center.
I used a scrap piece of wood to mark the gold circles on the black clock.  I pre-drilled holes into the wood.  The holes need to be large enough to fit your paint pen in to.  I screwed the wood to the very center of the clock.  But not too tight so it will turn in a full circle.  Then stick your paint pen in the pre-drilled holes and turn in a circle to get perfect circles around the clock.
A pressboard 3-legged table.  We all must have these.  I just used the tops to make clocks.

Here are a couple clocks I made from pressboard 3-legged tables which I would pick up for pennies at garage sales.  I would paint them and then purchase an inexpensive clock kit online.

bluebucket writes: Your clocks are just so beautiful and such a clever idea. These big clocks are so popular right now and very expensive to buy from a retail store. Yours look like they've been purchased from a store. Great job!
