When you see this sign you know you have arrived at the Big Red Barn.
This woman knows how to corner the market. When asked the history of these blankets, she didn't really know. She did have plenty on hand and more in boxes!
You've seen a lot of these textile mill spools. Some in Minnesota, some in California. Well, Shelley supplied them all. She purchased 4500 dozen. She dedicated a barn and a half to them. Remember, Queen of Quantity!
Shelley hand decorates thes for Halloween. She says she doesn't have much of a social life.
This is a great shutter project.
After the show we were invited to a ranch for a home cooked meal. Shelley introduced me to this wonderful group of ladies. Our tummies hurt from laughing so much!
What's next on the agenda? We'll be getting ready for the prom.
When it comes to shoes, anything goes here in Texas.

My good friend Shelley has a booth both at the Red Barn and Marburger, but this year she is just showing at the barn due to knee surgery. You'll see her snappy, Texas-style cane later. I stopped in for a visit, and much to my surprise I ran in to a couple of my old friends from my Country Home days! Miss Jane Perdue greeted me at the front door and just around the corner was Mary Emmerling who was signing her new book. I was thrilled. It was like old home week. Next year, hopefully Sandy Soria and Carol Sheehan will be able to make the trip for a reunion.

I just wanted to say I can't wait for my first issue of Mary Emmerlings Magazine! I ordered a subscription for my soul sister as well,Merry Junkmas to her.
I was sooo impressed with the quality artwork layout and subject matter. Most of all the magazine was not filled with page after page of advertising! How refreshing! Good work and thanks for a quality publication!

I love cowboy boots and where them here in MN all the time, so yours are very cool!
It must be fun to be in the company of so many talented folks and so many great pcs. of junk and antiques. I was an early admirer of Mary Emmerling, so how fun would that be to see her in person. She is such an icon for the whole antique/country style of decorating that just kept on expanding and growing to other styles that we have today.
Your piggy tails are adorable!
