What would Cupid say?  Thats easy...L-O-V-E!
This sits on my entry table for a little Valentines Day fun.
I had the wood in my garage.  I chopped it up with my miter saw in varying heights.  Then I added some red paint and antique glaze.  I garnished it with a dictionary page featuring the definition of LOVE.

Love is in the air.  Everywhere you go there are signs of Cupid and big red hearts.  I wanted to make some fun and festive Valentine decorations.  This was a pretty easy project but the message still delivers a big heartfelt message.

Happy Days,

~MB

KsJunkGirl writes: Thanks for the cute idea. I used your idea and took old childrens books and spelled out my granddaughters name. Super cute. I tried to post a picture but it keeps telling me my pictures are too big. :(

JunkArchitect writes: Marybeth, there are so many special ways to use this concept. Like Georgia, at first I thought you had removed the cover from books…which is another idea.

SantaClaus writes: You could turn the blocks around & do the same project with the words "NOEL" & just flip them after Xmas for the words "LOVE" - that is seasonable all-year! Posted: 6:44 am on February 14th

I really like this project. I love the colors. It could
be something that could sit out all the time. You could
also use other wordings such as FAMILY for other gift ideas.
A great display...Thanks for sharing. Posted: 9:59 pm on February 13th
Junk_Sophisticate writes: So very sweet, MB, and doable as well. I like the way it fits in with Valentine's Day decor, yet can still be used throughout your home any time of the year.

I thought they were old books with the covers torn off at first...which isn't a bad idea, if you have some old ones that are beyond reading.
