I found a few of these mega springs at an Occasional Sale last weekend...I also made Joy and Love...
Christmas sheet music makes another appearance...
The template for the wings was made by tracing my hand on a folded piece of paper...
I made the little dangling ornament by super gluing up a combination of crusty keys and scrapbook letters...I added the some buttons to the back to finish it up a bit...

I found a few of these "mega" springs at an Occasional Sale last weekend...I also made Joy and Love...

I'm really trying to stick to the challenge of making my Christmas gifts this year...it's been a lot of fun to get creative digging around in my stash of goodies to find things that I can make and repurpose...and out of that, this Angel of Hope was "born"...

I really like the sheet music wings.
This is what gifts should be about...something from the heart. I'm jealous of whomever receives them. Keep up your great work! Posted: 1:54 pm on December 11th
RustyDiva writes: Oh I love this idea. Nice variation on the spring candle holder ~ awesome teacher gifts. (can you tell what's on my mind ~ teacher gifts) I love that you used your hand as the template for the wings ~ kind of ties in with the "handmade" gift idea. Awesome job as usual Laurel!

junkermidge writes: Laurel, I thought you were going to say something about "hope SPRINGS eternal". But then I saw it was an angel -- ooo I do love angels. But what I thought was really funny was that when I do junk talks I have a "Top Ten Junk Items" -- you've included 4 of the ten (springs, scrabble tiles, buttons, and keys). We junkers think alike don't we? Great project, I love it!
