I had to save this door from our old barn. The stanchion is from the barn too. We took the middle from a wheel barrow tire, and welded it to the stanchion. They hold clay pots in the summer.
I just add fresh greens, berries, and a rusty bell.
The small door is also from the farm, along with the milk bucket on it.
I had to buy this old fertilizer blower at an auction. I just love the color of it.

I just love old farm junk. I wish I had a covered porch, it's hard to decorate outside up here when we get 10+ feet of snow!

SnowmanHill writes: Thanks for the great comments, I love sharing this door. What's a stanchion??? It's what a cow puts her head in, and then it's closed, so you can milk her, and she can kick you, now those were the days. Posted: 5:17 pm on December 15th
RustyDiva writes: Oh my gosh, I'm drooling over that door!!!! Jim's right ~ it should be a Christmas card or the cover to a magazine. By the way ~ what's a stanchion? My heart is farm girl but I was raised city girl. Posted: 5:04 pm on December 15th
