They just look nice sitting on the bookshelf.
I tore out the maps and used them as a wallpaper border in our computer room. I used full size road maps for the rest of the walls.
I decoupaged a poster tube.
I use them for home staging; again just because I like their color.
The pages make great background paper for projects like this framed collage. (Theres also pages from an old dictionary.)

I bought this whole set of encyclopedias for two dollars. I wasn't sure what I'd use them for but I liked the neutral color of them. It seemed wrong at first to destroy these books of knowledge but once the first page was torn, I didn't find it hard to keep on going. I've come up with many uses for them and I've turned to them time and time again for different projects.
