Hostess Gifts with a Junk Twist

This fun metal piece from Ms. Sue herself inspired this gift wrapping!
Here is what I started with...
vintage muffs, canvas water bags, cow tag (from Ms. Sue Whitney herself), cash register necklaces (created by JunkMarket contributor Gretchen of Mimi-torias Designs), and some misc. pieces
A vintage muff serves as a wine cozy, which is wrapped with love by a Mimi-Torias necklace.
How about some Mimi-Torias necklaces as drink markers? Just wrap the chain around and link. Gretchen, I sooo love these necklaces!
Here is a floral arrangement in a vintage canvas water bag. Add some ribbon, a holiday berry spray, and a cow tag for fun!
A second water bag serves up more flowers and a bottle of wine. Tied with some twine and a glass piece (not sure what its for), its just about ready for gifting.
A hand-turned cork made by a local artisan adds a special touch tied around the bottle neck.
For another unexpected touch, add a vintage ships key as a fun charm.
Any junking hostess would appreciate this junk-infused gift!
Which would you choose?
Happy holidays to everyone!

Need some hostess gift ideas for your favorite junker during the holiday season? How about some creative ways to wrap up wine and flowers? I collected some things from around the house that might be fun.

NOTE 1: I used artificial flowers for this project, but I'm sure real flowers would be a bit more appreciated by the gift recipient! :)

NOTE 2: These projects incorporate a fun gift from Sue Whitney and necklaces made by Gretchen@Mimi-Toria's Designs. Thanks, girls, for your inspiration!

MimiToria writes: Wow Amy! This is a great blog post. The photography is to die for. The water bags are hands down the coolest. They look new . . . I would choose any or all, but really love the one with the vintage glass insulator. I have one of those in my stash, now, where did it go. lol What a great and clever idea you've got going on here.

If I HAD to choose, I would pick the one with the berries...but truly love them both just the same. Once again, your project and photos are top notch...love your style! Thanks for sharing a great post.

shabbychick writes: Amy...I'd like to order a water bag please! Those are so cool, and I love how you've used them for the holiday. All the vintage pieces go together so well (maybe I'll have to use my little metal tag from Ms. Sue too - ha ha!!).

Gretchen's necklaces work really well for your holiday purposes too... All of your little touches of vintage junk are inspiring (I'm going to be a busy girl with all these ideas spinning around in my head).

Thanks for sharing - your pics are awesome as usual, and your clever ideas have your signature great vintage style!
