Heres another table project using a galvanized table top I literally found on the ground at the salvage yard paired with a heavy brown cafe table base.
To make it more interesting I finished the edges with galvanized roofing nails.
I satin Polycoated the base, fitted the top with wood then bolted it to the base. It measures about 4 by 3 and looks great outside as well as inside.

ObjetsTrouves writes: Great Job! I found a piece of galvanized just like this and made a table to go next to my stainless steel gas grill. Wonder what they were used for originally, nothing as neat I'm sure. Posted: 12:30 am on January 17th
shabbychick writes: Jenny - what a great table - and with the galvanized top...it's gonna last forever! The roofing nails were a perfect addition.

You know that I love this! It would be the perfect look for me if I ever get to move to that loft I have been wanting to be able to wrap my arms around. Love the detail on the edge. The perfect touch!

NDJunkGirl writes: Jenny! I ADORE this! Call me crazy, but I want this look for my dining room table...only problem is, the table I have is round. So, I'm looking for the perfect rectangle size and of course, the perfect "legs"...thanks for sharing! Andrea Posted: 9:42 am on November 29th
