This ceiling tin was a work-of-art in itself.  Found for $2 at a flea market, all it needed was a showcase for viewing so I thought Id frame it up!
Here is my three-piece loot.

Flea market ceiling tin $2
Rummage sale frame $2
Leftover adhesive dots from cardmaking $0
Adhere clear dots along front of ceiling tin edges (I used eight of them due to weight).  If your tin has chippy paint, make sure to spray it with poly or remove with a wire brush so the adhesive dots will stick properly.
Omit replacing the cardboard backing to the frame and allow the wall color be your matte.
Unfortunately this room does not get the best natural lighting, but I hope you get the picture!

bluebucket writes: This is fabulous! I love how there's a chunk missing from the tin. You had to have been in the right place at the right time to find the tin and frame at such a great price. Any ceiling tin I find is priced much, much higher. I might take a different approach and silicone the tin to the outside of the glass (but then again it won't collect dust behind the glass as you have it).
