Mixing old and new for an outdoor display.  Dont you love this basket?  It is perfect for fall flowers.  My mom got the bench for free and I found the metal pumpkins at Habitat Restore.  They dont mold.  I got the sign a couple of years ago and I just got the wheel on clearance at Michaels. 
Here is a little vignette I set up indoors in our entry.  I like to layer items.
I saw this old box and had to have it.  I am a born and bread Damn Yankee having grown up in New England. But please note I am NOT a Yankee Fan but a Red Sox Fan - I grew up 45 minutes outside of Boston!  The box is a shout out to my northern side not the baseball team. Yankees Yuck as my kids say.  Anyway, I filled the box with a mix of faux and real veggies.
I found this mini old school desk at a garage sale.  I thought it would be a good foundation and I can easily change out my seasonal decor.  I think it will get a ton of use!

I have a love hate relationship with the Fall. I love the weather and all the colors of nature, and decorating with festive Fall decor.  But I do not like turning the clocks back.  Our 5am wakeup call from the kids kills me every year!  Waking up to darkness really hurts!

DownHomeDIY writes: Thanks Y'all, said in the worst northern southern accent! It was 70 degrees today! My poor plants don't know what to do, it gets in the 40's at night and then still gets up in the 70's. Crazy! Guess that's why we are all getting sick too.
Will be breaking out the Christmas stuff soon...my favorite time of year!
