Pumpkin Carving Stencil Uses
October 31st, 2009 in member junkHalloween Stencils Slate:
I have these fabulous slate signage squares (I removed the wood trim), and have been enjoying finding fun and new ways to use them!
I've always liked the inexpensive pumpkin carving books (with or without the tools) and wanted to use the negative shapes on something other than my beloved pumpkins.
So here it is: take your slate or chalkboard or paint a surface with chalkboard paint (make sure you pre-treat the surface with a nice coating of chalk before using) tape or hold the stencil down against surface and outline the stencil, fill in. Easy, fast and brilliant! For the chalk I prefer chalkboard pens, you can buy at your local craft stores. Also try it on a small mirror, or use a series of images for larger mirrors!
Happy Halloween!
