wine barrel sunflower

The auctioneer bought me a hotdog for taking a wine barrel that had fallen apart at his sale. Not long after i saw the parts fall into a perfect flower. The inner circle is the metal that held the wood together. I put a dried sunflower head within chicken wire and packed the edges with wheat. Birds came by the dozens to honor my repurposed artwork.
