Birds of a Feather Grandfather Clock Birdhouse
October 29th, 2009 in member junkThis is a funky salvage project I took on recently. i had an old clock casing, no guts at all. I opened up the back and put shelves inside the body and cut out holes to make indidual little birhouses in the center of the casing, with one big compartment up top at the clock face. then i drilled holes underneath each cutout and hammered and glued in pegs for little birds to perch upon, if they choose to visit me in my garden. As a finishing touch, I embossed the center casing with roses and vines, and antiqued the piece all over to make it a shabby dream...Enjoy your little project! Try this with a smaller clock casing for a smaller project...
