Tripod lamp (small)
October 23rd, 2009 in member junkThis is the third lamp I've made out of old tripods. It is pretty simple: just use other lamp parts or even a wide dowell to drill a hole through for the lamp rod and wire. You will have figure a way to use the tripod screw to hold the top on. If you use just a dowell for the socket holder, simply drill a hole a bit smaller than the tripod screw, which will tap its own treads into the wood. You will need to have a horizontal hole a half inch or so from the bottom where the lamp wire can "escape" out the side.
