From discarded pottery....
October 22nd, 2009 in member junkA true testament to one man's junk is another's treasure....I had to pick up my daughter at a friend's house and at the doorstep was a box of pottery vases and bowls of different sizes and colors. The friend's mother, who I discovered is a potter, had put the box out to take to her kiln to refire and recycle her "mistakes." She was amused that I was admiring them and told me to help myself! The green pot had a hole in it....perfect for holding string and enough room for scissors, too. To create the top I glued the lid of a tea mug (which I had saved when the mug broke) to a round wooden base I had laying around. The little brown piece is perfect for holding some ribbon...
