Ethan Allen side table ~ AFTER. Wallpaper front and top, refashioned drawer pulls and poly seal. *Used discarded (old) bottles for flower arrangement.

Refashioned drawer pulls. Painted sage color, also used to bring out detail of carved scroll work on front of piece, then wiped off excess paint.

Second coat of paint (olive) was allowed to dry, then lightly sanded to reveal java base coat. The shell scroll was distressed to draw more attention.

Wallpaper was trimmed to fit side-table top, drawer front and interior. A brayer was used to adhere wallpaper to surface, then squeeze excess glue. Once dry, a poly top coat was applied to entire surface, then buffed down.

While not technically junk... this table had long lost it's charm. While in someone's possession ~ they shall remain nameless ~ a thick and drippy shellac was slathered across the entire piece. Ewww. In Gadora's hands, the Ethan Allen side-table again shines...
