Bench from old headboard
October 18th, 2009 in member junkI felt like the Junk Brothers, but I didn't return the finished product to the original owners. I found this headboard at the curb with a free sign on it and I couldn't pass it up. I forgot to get a before picture because I dove in and started working on it. It had a dark stain on it and the posts where quite tall. I took off the original posts and replaced it with the top of an old banister. I had used the bottom of the banisters for large candle sticks and am happy that I kept the tops. I did use new ceder lumber for the bench since it will stay outside.
