Mid-century modern Kron® lamp needed sprucing up. What better way than discarded Xray sheets...

I used the old paper shade as a template for the new Xray shade. Spraying underside of Xrays white allows for maximum xray-impact when lamp is lit. Hole punching became much easier with a handy power drill.

Artifical sinew was used to whipstitch the shade onto its frame. The sinew serves to create a cohesive "body-part" motif.

Extra Xray sheets (both human and canine) ~ rather than the looming holiday ~ prompted a redo for this Mid-century modern ceramic Kron® lamp. Besides, the paper shade had seen better days. Using its parts as a template for the Xrays, I was able to craft a shade with relatively little expenses... just the artifical sinew. Project only took a little less than two hours, once I got the power drill out. For the how-to, check out Gadora.
