Included my dads CrackerJack prizes from the 30s...can you guess... see the tin toy horse and the red-jacketed monkey...

a jewelry box ballerina, mini troll doll, painted rock

Grandmas old Christmas tree brooch fits perfectly near the top...right next to the angel from a MardiGras King Cake...

thats Flower the Skunk (of Bambi fame) peeking up...hes also from the 1930s

I originally saw this idea years ago...with a baby-shower theme... I modified it for Christmas time ...almost time to bring it out again. I wanted to display some of my favorite childhood treasures, and supplemented with bits and pieces my kids collected. I even managed to loosely spell out their names in the alphabet blocks. I covered a wooden circle with craft paper and glued down the outer circle of the blocks first, and built up from there. The inside is hollow...styrofoam peanuts and aluminum foil fill the interior space. Sorry! Some of the shots are blurry...
