This is the finished window with a forest teal green acrylic wash.  The eagle head was painted with glass paints.  The wood frame was coated with 2 coats of polyurethane.  I wanted to crackle finish it but this way was a little brighter.
Here is a stack of the old wood windows.  Oh the ideas, the ideas!  I decided to paint a window for my brother-in-laws favorite charity.

My friend redid all her windows on her home but didn't want to throw out the old ones because they're all wood.  Since they have a country look she asked if I could do something with them.  HOT DOG!  My brother-in-law asked if I could donate a painted window  to the Philadelphia Eagles Youth Partnership in Philadelphia.  They had a silent auction for their yearly team carnival for the past 8 or 9 years.  After I finished it-all the players on the Philadelphia Eagles team signed it and it was auctioned off.  Giving back to community and recycling at the same time.  KA POW!

This was a smaller item that I donated but it was so much fun to do and my nephews just love to critique my work! KA POW! Posted: 11:56 am on October 9th
