I wanted to make a scarecrow for my yard in a new fangled way.....these are so fun to make!
It started with just some old stuff in the garage and around the house. Then we made some trips to Goodwill.
You can stand them up in whatever you can find or make a stand out of wood. We did both. We used old fence and barn boards, my husband makes potting tables with them.
This is one to raise money for "Breast Cancer", isn't she cute?
This pic is a little dark, but I just had to put it up, just some old baseball stuff. I put a sign hanging from one of his arms that said our friends last name and their house #'s. Then we took it to their house and left it on the porch with some gater-aid, a bag a peanuts, and a bowl of candy!

All you need is an old board, and misc. stuff to dress them up. For tools we used, a drill, screwdrivers, hammer, and wire cutters. I also used old or new canning jars in various sizes, made a wire hanger for them and hung them on one arm. They look pretty cool lit up with a tea-lite at night. We also made a "witch" one that turned out too cool! After we made a couple for our yard we made some to raise money for charity. I hope they will help!
