Items used - vintage: Vita-Food Brewers' Yeast tin, tin globe bank, shoe stretchers, aluminum gelatin/food mold, large wooden spool, assorted washers, screws, nuts and bolts (vintage and new)

This tin worked best as the "body," because it didn't take away from the globe (face). Some of the other tins I tried were WAY too "loud" with their patterns and colors.

I was saving the globe bank for just the right art piece (as I only had one in stock). Wish I could find more, at resonable prices (hint hint to anyone that can help). Some of the globe banks I've seen run in the neighborhood of $25!!!

LOVED this aluminum mold when I first saw it, at a rummage sale this past summer. Wish I could have found more. Hated to cover up the design on top, but it worked so well for Ms. Globetrotter's skirt, I had no choice.

Another close up. I tried to get the globe to show North America, Canada and surrounding areas, but it just woudln't work. I think Ms. G just wants to see more of the world, in her globe-trotting lifestyle!!!

Alice, I am looking for globe banks under $10. I was lucky enough to find the one I had, for less than $5.00 this summer! I'll just have to keep looking.... thanks for your suggestion about Esty. I will have to take a look.
Candy, how on earth did you guess this piece was over a foot tall??? Most of my pieces are about that tall ("Hit The Spot" was closer to two feet). I try to keep them at least a foot tall, as the gallery likes to put them in their front windows a lot!!!
Thanks again everyone!!! gailmarie Posted: 12:41 am on October 7th

Mrs. G is a worldly young lady. Love her and your writing. I can always count on you to put a smile on my face. Thanks!
Take care,

She is darling! Look at Esty at the vintage space. There is one where I work for 20.00 if that is a good price I could buy and mail. I will keep my eye out!
