Close up of face and hair. I love the look of her wild and crazy "do."

Her legs needed "something"... so I ended up using some metal clamps to liven her up and then added some jewels to give her some dazzle (you can never have too much "dazzle" on stage!!!).

I found some metal mesh at a local craft store in their close-out area and just HAD to use it for her tutu!!! I ended up sewing it onto the coffee filter piece, so it stays put.

Her arms were a problem to get into the wooden spokes. I tried pushing and pulling, but was afraid I would snap the wooden spokes. Then I got the bright idea to try and microwave them to soften the arms up (honestly, I did!!!!!). Finally, I soaked them in boiling water and was able to get them into the spokes. The arms remain super tight and will never move. (Oh, the things we do for our artwork!!!)

Way to think creatively to soften the arms. I would never have thought of that.

I honestly thought the microwave would soften the doll's arms, but after a few seconds in there, I panicked, thinking the microwave would melt the arms, so I grabbed they out. Thank goodness very hot water did the trick....they were pliable enough to insert in between the wooden spokes and then get "hard" again, in a few seconds.
I never thought about the clamps looking like monitors!!! That's very funny.
Thanks for some good laughs on this one. I'll be smiling for a long time..... gailmarie

You created a little "TuTu" cutie pie!!! From the top of her spikey "do" to the tips of her toes (and her little blingy "garters"...) - she's a crowd pleaser for sure!
Did I mention I love her??
Thanks so much for sharing.
