Birdbath Rescue

While visiting my parents, I noticed they had a new birdbath and this one was sitting by the driveway.  It was destined for the trash the next day - my own parents were going to throw this out!!  Needless to say, I was horrified, and immediately whisked it away.  It doesn't show up in the photo well, but it has a very nice blueish-green rusty patina.  Any ideas?  I'd kinda like to make a table out of it...

suewhitney writes: Beautiful birdbath...great save! I like the idea of a birdbath in the bathroom too. I might put it next to my tub filled with tub time must haves. Wash cloths, loofas, bath salts, etc. I like the table idea too, but not sure if it looks sturdy enough to support a round og glass. If it is, you could fill the bath with pebbles or shells and cover with glass. Thanks for sharing!

Take care,

Why not leave it as is, put it in your bathroom and fill it with sweet smelling soaps? I think things like this look great in their original state. How about putting it in a room with old photos or keys in it? Posted: 6:41 pm on October 2nd
