Night-night Sugar...

This would make a sweet little night light in a baby's room...or any room for that matter!
As soon as I saw this at my local thrift store I knew right away what I wanted it to be...
The next step was to take apart an old brass lamp base which I discovered fit the base of the silver sugar container perfectly. A little off white paint, and it was ready to go. It could certainly be dressed up with embellishments like ribbons or rub on lettering, but for now, until I decide exactly where it will live, I will just leave it plain.
The light source is very simply a small battery powered string of lights, which gives off a perfect glow. It can also be used with a tea light candle, but this is much safer, especially in a child's room.

Surgar is sweet, and so is this night light!

Marie, your nightlight has inspired me to look at old canisters in a different way. Very creative project you put together.
