Primitive Hutch and Cabinet Made From Shutters, an Old Screen Window and a TV Cabinet!
September 21st, 2009 in member junkThis project was a lot of fun to make. I married several items together to create it. The base was formerly a TV cabinet that I purchased at a garage sale for $10. It had a bit of an art deco look, which did not go with the primitive farmhouse look I was going for, so I added the flat moulding around the doors and chippy wooden knobs. I then painted and distressed it. The top hutch was made from old shutters and a window screen. It stands 8 feet tall. I sold it very quickly last week at the Vintage Barn Antique Show in Rathdrum, Idaho.
