I found two Scrabble games this summer at two of my local thrift stores. I have also seen them for sale on ebay or etsy. Or you can purchase them directly from the game maker Hasbro at hasbro.com (100 letter tiles / 4 racks / tile pouch for $6.50)

I like to attach these at Christmas because it makes handing out gifts so much easier for our large family and then the receiver can keep it as a momento. You could sparkle them up or just attach to a pretty card. You could write the year on the back too. Posted: 3:53 pm on September 22nd

You might have more luck finding games, including Scrabble, at garage sales in areas with lots of kids. I'm amazed to often I find them unopened or barely used (like last week). Toys without batteries & noise must be too low-tech for lots of today's kids (or maybe their parents).

This is a great find! Good luck with your Scrabble search!

Look for the vendors with a lot of little boxes and plastic tubs on top of tables. Those tubs and boxes are usually home to little trinkets and doo-dads...including scrabble letters.

Take care,
