I couldn''t wait to get home and tear out the plastic christmas stuff that the lady I bought it from thought was such a "wonderful bonus"! I had this pretty shaped old jar which I filled with white shells and earth toned glass beads. One silk flower gave it just a little color.
The glass dome is about 14 inches tall, and the base was dark brown. I painted it off white and distressed it, and added an old doily my late grandmother made.

I found this huge glass dome at a yard sale - it had some really unattractive Christmas stuff in it, and the base was a dark, dark brown. I like it much more now!
