I just wanted to share how much I enjoy being part of this wonderful community, JUNKMARKET Style.  It is THE BEST SITE for inspiration regarding repurposing, re-using and junking online, and includes THE MOST SUPPORTIVE members and contributors I have ever come across!  As leader, Sue Whitney deserves great recognition (even if she doesn't want recognition) for being so gosh-darn talented and welcoming to all of us here!  Thank you!  Thank you!

Notice we now have OVER 5,000 members??!!  Lets keep this community growing and continue to share our love of junk!!

suewhitney writes: Candy...thanks for such a great post. I was on the road when it happened and celebrated with all of the fine junkers in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This site, with its fabulous contributors and oh, so talented members, makes it so easy to get out of bed in the morning. I start each day with a cup of Joe and my junking buddies on JMS. It just doesn't get any better than that. Thanks to each and everyone of you for making this site the very best of its kind. I appreciate all of you and am delighted to call you friends. Thanks again for sharing your talents, senses of humor, and kindness with me and each other. This is one big rocking junk fest and I LOVE it!

Big Hugs,

RustyDiva writes: Hooray for JMS!!!! I too love this site and spread the word every chance I get. My sweetie even tells people about it. I'm hooked and even though I haven't ventured out with my own business (yet) I feel inspired by each and every one that posts regularly and have been able to make my home a cozy and warm place for family and friends. I have no doubt this site will continue to grow and raise my glass to it's continued success!!!!!!

We'll go junking "southern style". That means, we'll only need sweatshirts in February!!!! Keep on Junkin

shabbychick writes: Candy - thank you so much for posting this (I had been watching the count, so knew it was near).

And, THANKS to Sue for providing this outlet for our ever-growing support group of junkaholics ;) - from beginners to accomplished artists - it's a wonderful, positive mix of people that I'm proud to be a part of!

And, THANKS to all our great members - it's so much fun to see what junk everyone's up to (there's so much talent and creativity shared...) - you're all amazing!

Looking forward to our future growth and all the junking possibilities that will bring!

Can't wait till we hit 10,000! Woo hoo hoo!!!

Happy junking, Kathy

P.S. Marie - no, you're right, we certainly don't think you're crazy...we're all "birds of a feather"! ;) (and I mean that in the best way)

chippingcharm writes: Ditto, ditto, ditto...I started following Sue's amazing talent many years ago when I saw them featured in CH magazine. I connected with the 2 JM ladies because I too live in MN and I just loved their style and the idea of reusing others cast-offs...I bought each book the second it was available and preordered when I could. I signed up to be a member on JMS as soon as I got an email and was inpired by all of you for many months before I started to post myself. Since I started posting, my "junk-confidence" has grown and I have even had the opportunty to meet Sue, Gretchen and Lanette...I have been inspired and encouraged. i just recently signed up to sell my treasures for the first time and I see many other amazing opportunities opening up to me in the near future...I have a feeling all of my "junk dreams" are about to start becoming a reality...thanks to Sue and all of you!!! So YES, I tell everyone I meet about JMS!!! So c/mon...become a member it just might change your life :)
Blessings, Laurel

oldnews writes: You all don't think I'm crazy! That's what I love most. I love being able to see what talented junkers out there are doing, and of course, getting to share my ideas. Many friends and co workers just shake their heads when I try to talk about this amazing passion. They only want what they can buy at pottery barn, which after all, is really just an immitation of our original works! So, thanks to Sue and everyone of you for making this the best place in the world to call "home!" Wouldn't a Junkmarketstyle Convention be fun!!?

fellowjunker writes: Marvelous post Candy.....congrats to Sue for an amazing job .....yes Sue,....so many of us can attribute our zest for junk to YOU!!!! I have always loved junk, but was timid about using too much of it in my decorating or vocabulary!!!!.....BUT NOW....I feel I am in my element again, and, most of that, is because of Sue, the contributors AND members on this SITE. Thanks to all!!
