Pick up the pieces.. but Never Forget.... 9-11 Tribute

The Apple represtents New York City... It was actually a cutting board, I found in the shape of an apple but I left it in the rain one too many times and it split.The cubby in the back is some sort of collection holder.... I found that too. It houses different notes, ads, tidbits about the day. Details I can never forget.

The pieces of paper are from a 9/11 book I purchased (since I was too shaken to detail with my own camera). It took me about 6 or 7 years to even open the book.

I painted, pieced and glued.. and voila! Instant (tongue in cheek) Art Therapy.

I decided to create this to help me process the event.

Very creative use of the apple breadboard. When I first gazed at your blog I thought it was a heart. A broken heart! Many lives were changed and hearts were broken on that day. Amazingly creative and the fact that it helps you heal as well as is a tribute is wonderful.
