We had a candle light dinner on our new (old) stools, just for fun!

I found these beat up stools at Haupt Antiek so I brought them home and cleaned them up... sanded the oak seat and the metal, primed and repainted and stained. I love using them now.
I have to admit, my husband did most of the work on these. He did a nice job!

Kind of backwards... in this case I cleaned them up rather than distressing but I love the already distressed oak. They have someone's initials carved in them.

Did you just have to sand and restain them, or did you use a product to help with the cleaning up?
I'm also glad you feel at home on this site (in reference to your post that I posted), and will continue to share your great projects. Posted: 7:22 am on September 19th
