Vintage Assemblage by gailmarie
Items used - vintage: Curity Cotton Picker tin, tarnished silver forks, toy bowling pins, wooden croquet ball, part of drawer pull, dominos; rusted nails, plastic/metal pcs, jewelry chain, staples, wire, screw and bolts
The nails caused a split in the ball (in the back), so I ended up trying to fix it using glue and wire. I liked the end result, even though the split in the wood is still there (kind of like the big scar on my forehead, from a really bad car accident years ago). I figured if I can go around with a scar on my face, so can Rebel!!!  :o)
Upside down, the bowling pins fit into the black plastic things perfectly (they remind me of black boots).
When I saw this tin, I just HAD to have it!!! I never saw a Cotton Picker tin before. I guess this was their version of what we now know as cotton balls.

This piece screams of A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E to me. From her hands on her hips, to the eyebrow piercing (staple), to her big dangle earring, down to her leather boots. Boy, I sure wish I had her confidence!!!
