Hostess gift? It's in the bag!
September 18th, 2008 in blogThe season for social gatherings is creeping up on us. Starting with Halloween and running straight through New Year's, it seems as though it's one function after the other. With this in mind, I thought I'd better start thinking of clever ways to show my appreciation (seeing that I'm not the one having the party.) I'm not a big fan of gift bags, but seems as though I have plenty in my gift wrap closet. Instead of recycling these ditties in the standard fashion I tried something a little more creative on for size. I love, love, love soda fountain junk! As a kid, I spent plenty of afternoons at the counter of our local F. & W. Woolworth store sipping on delightful fizzy concotions, hence my passion for this type of memorabilia and the plethora of it in my own personal junk pile. Ha! A soda fountain glass, a recycled gift bag, and some flowers seemed like a match made in heaven as a hostess gift. So there you have it. How do you recycle gift bags?
