A lot of people ask me "what comes first - the quote or the idea" and with this piece it was definitely the idea...
I found this amazing metal horse bust and had to find the perfect use for it.
I framed it up with a unique horse shoe, which I attached with horseshoe nails to the top of a wonderful old ‘40’s green fishing tackle box.
The quote is housed in a glass top typewriter key and framed up using a spur.
The quote reads: Horse Sense, n.: Stable thinking.
It measures about 10” tall and 7” wide and will be included at our next art show.

Jenny, what a beautiful piece you‘ve created. I love how you layered the spurs and the color of the wood is fantastic.
