Summer Brunch with Some Fancy Junk
September 3rd, 2009 in member junkBecause everyone was so enthusiastic about my first post, I decided to show off more of my favorite junk! I hosted a brunch this summer for my sister and several of her friends, all of whom are college students. Needless to say, they were very appreciative for the home-cooked meal.
I started off by setting our picnic table, which was given to us by my husbands' Grandmother, who is 92. Her brother built it for her many years ago and it is sturdy! All of the linens on the table are from garage sales, and the beautiful white china plates were purchased at the Salavation Army store. (I got about 20 of them for 99 cents each.) I bought the wine glasses at a department store end of season - $6 for a box of 12! The flowers on the table are from my own gardens.
Before the brunch, a thunderstorm rolled in so we moved the party inside. The second photo is in my dining room. My table (which is covered) and chairs came from an auction.
Thanks again for all of your great comments and encouragement!
